Bollywood actress Poonam Pandey has died from cervical cancer, her public relations team confirmed to Zee News.

Pandey, 32, was in her hometown of Kanpur at the time of her death. "Details about her funeral are awaited," the PR team stated. The team added, "This morning is a tough one for us.

We are deeply saddened to inform you that we have lost our beloved Poonam to cervical cancer. Every living form that ever came in contact with her was met with pure love and kindness."

In 2013, Pandey starred in "Nasha," where she played a teacher who becomes romantically involved with a student.

Her performance was praised by Rediff for her seductive portrayal, while Mumbai Mirror noted her role was more of a genuine, conscientious drama teacher than a mere temptress.

Despite positive reviews, some critiques suggested there was room for improvement in her portrayal.
