Ministry of Defence Signs Rs 1,752.13 Crore Contract for Indigenous Remote Control Guns
The Ministry of Defence has entered into a contract valued at Rs 1,752.13 crore with Advanced Weapon Equipment India Limited (AWEIL), Kanpur, for the production and delivery of 463 indigenously manufactured 12.7 mm stabilised remote control guns (SRCG) for the Indian Navy and Indian Coast Guard. This contract aims to bolster the vision of "Aatmanirbharta in Defence" and will also benefit over 125 Indian vendors and Defence PSUs.
