Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to chair a meeting of the Union Council of Ministers on March 3rd, just ahead of the anticipated announcement of the Lok Sabha Polls by the Election Commission. This meeting holds significant importance as it may be the last such gathering for the Modi government during its second term and is expected to take place at the Sushma Swaraj Bhawan in New Delhi's Chanakyapuri diplomatic enclave.

As the Election Commission evaluates states' preparedness for the Lok Sabha elections, the timing of this meeting becomes crucial. Historically, the EC has announced election schedules shortly after similar meetings, with results declared in May.
Amidst these preparations, Prime Minister Modi is currently on a two-day visit to West Bengal, where he is meeting key BJP figures in the state to strategize and bolster the party's governance-agenda" target="_blank">governance agenda and counter the ruling Trinamool Congress' (TMC) influence.

Additionally, he inaugurated and laid the foundation stone for multiple development projects worth Rs 15,000 crore in Krishnanagar city, Nadia District, and participated in a rally and roadshow accompanied by state unit chief Sukanta Majumdar and MLA Suvendu Adhikari.
