The Communist Party of India (CPI), under the leadership of state secretary K. Ramakrishna, has revealed its lineup of candidates for the forthcoming Lok Sabha election in Guntur and eight Assembly Constituencies. This move comes as part of the seat-sharing agreement with the Congress party.

Ramakrishna announced that CPI will field its candidate in the Guntur Lok Sabha constituency as part of the INDIA bloc. Jangala Ajay Kumar, the CPI Guntur district secretary, has been nominated as the party's candidate for the prestigious Guntur LS seat.

In addition to the Lok Sabha contest, CPI will also vie for eight assembly segments across the state. The candidates for these constituencies were unveiled by Ramakrishna during the announcement.

Among the notable candidates are Attili Vimala, who will contest from Visakhapatnam West, and G. Koteswara Rao, CPI's Vijayawada City secretary, who will run for the Vijayawada West assembly seat.

The lineup also includes Bandi Venkateswara Rao for Eluru, C. Jafar for Anantapur Urban, P. Ramachandraiah for Pathikonda, P. Murali for Tirupati, Bhukya Viswanath Naik for Rajampet, and Gali Chandra for Kamalapuram assembly constituencies.

This announcement marks CPI's strategic positioning for the upcoming electoral battle in Andhra Pradesh, as the party gears up to contest crucial seats in both the Lok Sabha and state assembly elections.
