JD(S) Chief HD Deve Gowda Rejects Alliance with BJP-led NDA for 2024 Lok Sabha Election
Former Prime Minister and Janata Dal (Secular) leader HD Deve Gowda has categorically ruled out the possibility of an alliance with the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP)-led National Democratic Alliance (NDA) for the upcoming 2024 Lok Sabha election. In a press conference, Deve Gowda asserted that JD(S) would contest the elections independently and would not seek any assistance from other political parties. This decision comes amidst speculation about potential alliances after his son, HD Kumaraswamy, hinted at working with the BJP against the Congress government in Karnataka.
