AstraZeneca Pharma India Ltd. has announced the appointment of Vinay Sharma as the Business Unit Head for Rare Disease, effective July 1, 2024. Sharma, currently serving as the head of Respiratory and Immunology in the Philippines, brings over 23 years of industry experience to his new role. He holds a post-graduate degree in marketing management and business administration and has held various leadership positions in sales, marketing, and patient advocacy across AstraZeneca India and other international markets. Sharma played a pivotal role in launching Forxiga in India.
