Amazon Invests Additional $2.75 Billion in Anthropic, Expanding AI Partnership
Amazon.com Inc. has announced an additional investment of $2.75 billion in Anthropic, an artificial intelligence startup known for its advanced AI tools. This investment, completing a deal initiated last year, brings Amazon's total investment in Anthropic to $4 billion. Anthropic, led by former employees of OpenAI, focuses on developing AI tools for text generation and analysis. The partnership between Amazon and Anthropic includes the use of Amazon Web Services data centers and custom-built computer chips. Anthropic also collaborates with Google and counts businesses like DuckDuckGo and Lonely Planet among its customers.
