All India Muslim Jamaat President Welcomes CAA, Clarifies Misunderstandings Among Muslims
Maulana Shahabuddin Razvi Bareilvi, President of All India Muslim Jamaat, welcomed the Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA) and addressed misconceptions among Muslims, assuring them that the law would not affect their citizenship status. He emphasized that the CAA aims to provide citizenship to persecuted non-Muslim migrants from neighboring countries and urged all Indian Muslims to welcome the legislation. The CAA, which grants citizenship to persecuted minorities, including Hindus, Sikhs, Jains, Buddhists, Parsis, and Christians, who migrated to India before December 31, 2014, was notified by the Union Home Ministry.
