Madhya Pradesh High Court Allows ASI Survey at Bhojshala Temple-Kamaal Maula Mosque Complex
The Madhya Pradesh High Court has granted permission for an Archaeological Survey of India (ASI) survey at the Bhojshala Temple-Kamaal Maula Mosque complex in Dhar. The complex, housing the 15th-century dargah of Sufi saint Kamaal-ud-din Malawi and a 14th-century mosque, has been a subject of dispute for decades. Hindus claim the site as the historic 'Bhojshala' of Raja Bhoj, while Muslims regard it as a mosque. The court's decision comes amidst a longstanding communal dispute, exacerbated by political tensions in the Malwa region.
