Supreme Court Urges Centre to Provide One-Time Financial Package to Kerala to Address Crisis

While initially hesitant, the Centre agreed to discuss the matter and report back to the court. The court emphasized that Kerala could be granted special assistance with stricter conditions, considering it a unique case. The exchange occurred during a hearing on Kerala's plea alleging violations of federal governance by the Union government, which imposed limitations on the state's borrowing powers.
