I-Fox Windtechnik India Secures Contract for Restoration of Wind Turbines from NLC India

I-Fox Windtechnik India Private Limited, a subsidiary of Inox Green Energy Services Ltd, has been awarded a work order by NLC India Ltd for the restoration of 33 wind turbine generators (WTGs) in Tamil Nadu. The contract, valued at ₹39.5 crore, involves the restoration activities and supply of materials within an eight-month period. This marks another collaboration between the two entities, following a previous contract for comprehensive operation and maintenance (O&M) services. The stock of Inox Green Energy saw a marginal increase, while NLC India experienced a slight decline in trading.

Coal Ministry Advocates Pithead-based Thermal Projects for Coal India and NLC India

The Coal Ministry has directed Coal India Ltd (CIL) and NLC India Ltd to prioritize pithead-based thermal projects to diminish transportation costs and enhance the availability of coal. Coal Secretary Amrit Lal Meena highlighted the benefits of this approach, emphasizing reduced reliance on transportation through rail and road, lowered logistics costs, and enhanced accessibility of coal for power generation. CIL has inked a pact with Rajasthan Urja Vikas Nigam Ltd (RUVNL) for a joint venture to establish 4,100 megawatts of power generation capacity in Rajasthan, with a significant portion being pithead-based. Similarly, NLC and RUVNL have initiated agreements for power projects in Rajasthan, including lignite-based and solar power plants. Additionally, CIL is exploring thermal projects in Uttar Pradesh and Bihar, with discussions underway for joint ventures and feasibility assessments ongoing. The transition towards pithead-based projects aligns with efforts to diversify into thermal, solar, and wind power generation by CIL and NLC.
