Prime Minister Narendra Modi to Inaugurate Railway Projects Worth Over Rs 85,000 Crore
Prime Minister Narendra Modi will visit DFC's Operation Control Centre in Ahmedabad to lay the foundation stone and dedicate various railway projects worth over Rs 85,000 crore. These projects include the inauguration of dedicated freight corridor sections, flagging off new Vande Bharat trains, extension of existing routes, inauguration of passenger trains, freight train flag-offs, and the dedication of Pradhan Mantri Bhartiya Janaushadhi Kendras, Gati Shakti Multi-Modal Cargo Terminals, automatic signaling upgrades, digital controlling of railway stations, rail coach restaurants, One Station One Product Stalls, and solar-powered stations/buildings. These initiatives aim to improve connectivity, enhance operational efficiency and safety, promote local products, generate income for artisans and businesses, and contribute to the country's renewable energy goals.
