World Bank Offers Full Support to Flood-Hit Himachal Pradesh for Reconstruction Efforts

The World Bank has extended its complete support to the flood-affected state of Himachal Pradesh, offering assistance in conducting a comprehensive assessment of damages across various sectors. The assessment, in collaboration with the Global Facility for Disaster Reduction and Recovery (GFDRR), aims to quantify losses in roads, power, water supply, housing, agriculture, and other areas. The bank also stands ready to provide technical aid for recovery and reconstruction, disaster risk management, infrastructure design, ecosystem services, and livelihood resilience. Deputy CM Devendra Fadnavis Rejects Claims of Ajit Pawar Replacing Eknath Shinde as Maharashtra CM

Maharashtra's Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis has dismissed Congress leader Prithviraj Chavan's claim that Ajit Pawar, a prominent figure in the Nationalist Congress Party (NCP), will replace Eknath Shinde as the state's Chief Minister in August.
