Expressing her sorrow Yamuna said:
I am heartbroken and shocked to hear the news of serial actress Shobhita Shivanna's demise. Whatever may have been the reason for her decision to end her life it is unfortunate. I don't know her personally and have no idea what caused her to feel this way but I would like to take this moment and generally say a few things
Speaking from her extensive experience in community service and working closely with youth Yamuna shared:
I often volunteer for personality development training and talk about mental stress. I heard that 99% of children say lack of wealth is the reason for their mental stress. Is it worth giving so much importance to money?
As parents, as friends, as children, as spouses, as a society we must encourage each other that it is okay to fail it's okay to make mistakes it's okay to be mediocre but it's not okay to end this precious life. There are many who want to have your life; no one has a perfect life.
I think the younger generation should involve themselves more and volunteer to empower underprivileged children and meet patients who are struggling to survive so that they understand the value of life and avoid any hasty decisions.
In conclusion Yamuna expressed her condolences:
May her soul rest in peace and may God give her family strength to bear this pain. Her words serve as a poignant reminder for individuals and society to address mental health challenges and foster a culture of empathy
