Nagpur: Scamsters are having a gala time from the money they are constantly looting from the citizens who keep falling prey to their fraudulent schemes time and again. The latest addition to the long list of victims is a 34 year old woman Rachna Gandhewar who was duped by the cyber crooks in the name of making huge sums of money by performing tasks'.
Rachna was duped of $15.84 lakh between October 6 and II.
Cops said Rachna was scrolling through Facebook when she received several links from an unknown mobile number. The person provided some tasks to Gandhewar and asked her to complete it to earn money Initially, the person sent money to Gandhewar and earned her trust. After this the person convinced Gandhewar to invest money to get higher returns.
Gandhewar sent $15.84 lakh to the person but did not get anything in return. Finally she approached cyber police station where a case of fraud was registered.
