A video showing a woman abusing and fighting with an autorickshaw driver who questioned her for booking two autos on her app at a time and cancelling one of them went viral on social media.
The city police asked the person who uploaded the video to share more details including the contact number of the auto driver.Netizenssought action against the woman stating that many times passengers book two vehicles for their comfort and cancel one later. The driver confronted a female passenger regarding her alleged practice of booking rides simultaneously on multiple apps and then cancelling them after drivers had arrived. He approached her while she was already seated in another auto-rickshaw
Pavan Kumar posted about the incident and tagged Bengaluru City Police and other authorities. He alleged that the woman booked his auto through Ola Olabut subsequently cancelled it to opt for aRapidoride instead.
Kumar expressed his displeasure about being forced to wait and questioned her treatment of auto drivers.
The woman however maintained that she had only booked a single auto after comparing fares across different applications. She firmly denied booking an Ola ride, clarifying that she had merely checked the prices on the platform.
