The Visakhapatnam Port Authority (VPA) has announced a significant contribution of Rs. 30 lakh towards the city beautification project, with a focus on enhancing the aesthetics of Convent Junction. The project inauguration, presided over by VPA Chairman M. Angamuthu, underscores the port's commitment to supporting the development of Visakhapatnam and its surroundings.

Addressing attendees at the event, Angamuthu emphasized the intrinsic beauty of Visakhapatnam, highlighting its status as one of the most picturesque cities in the country. He reiterated the port's pledge to contribute to the city's improvement by spearheading efforts to enhance greenery and aesthetics at key junctions connected to the port.

GVMC Commissioner Saikanth Varma outlined the planned developmental works for Convent Junction, which include the relaying of BT roads, installation of LED strip lighting on the north and west sides, augmentation of greenery, and beautification of the flyover. Varma expressed appreciation for VPA's generous support towards the project, acknowledging the pivotal role it plays in advancing the city's infrastructure and visual appeal.

The inauguration ceremony was attended by esteemed dignitaries, including Police Commissioner A. Ravi Shankar, who joined in commemorating the commencement of the city beautification initiative. Their presence underscores the collective commitment of various stakeholders towards the progress and prosperity of Visakhapatnam.
