Pakistan :
A video of Anju, an Indian woman from Rajasthan's Alwar district, has taken the internet by storm after she reportedly traveled to Pakistan to meet her Facebook friend, Nasrullah. The viral-video" target="_blank">viral video shows Anju and Nasrullah enjoying dinner with friends, raising eyebrows over their alleged union in Pakistan. The authenticity of the video is yet to be independently verified.
The sensational case unfolded when Anju, a married woman with two children, left her home in Alwar, telling her husband that she was going to Jaipur to meet friends. However, she instead traveled to Pakistan on a "valid Pakistani visa" to meet Nasrullah. Anju's husband, Arvind, claims to have received a call from her, revealing that she was in Lahore and would return within a few days. He remains perplexed about how Anju acquired the visa and undertook the journey to Pakistan.
Nasrullah, speaking about the situation, stated that Anju would return to India on August 20 after her visa expires. The couple reportedly got married on Tuesday, July 25, with Anju converting to Islam and taking the name Fatima.
Anju and Arvind had been married since 2007 in Bhiwadi, and her unexpected departure to Pakistan has left her family in turmoil. Anju's father, Gaya Prasad Thomas, expressed strong disapproval, stating that Anju is considered as good as dead to the family for leaving India. He warned that if she were to return, she would face strict punishment.
The circumstances surrounding Anju's visa acquisition remain unclear. Bhiwadi ASP Sujit Shankar asserted that if any fake documents were used to cross the border, appropriate action would be taken against her. Despite the sensitive nature of the situation, no formal complaint has been lodged, and the police have not initiated a full-fledged investigation.
According to Pakistani media, Anju arrived in Pakistan through the Wagah border on July 22, where Nasrullah received her in Rawalpindi. Official documents from the Ministry of Interior indicate that Anju was granted a 30-day visa, valid only for Upper Dir.
The case has garnered attention due to its similarities to the Seema-Sachin love story, in which a Pakistani woman entered India illegally to live with her partner in Greater Noida. However, the key difference in Anju's case is that she obtained a visa to enter Pakistan legally.
As the controversy surrounding Anju's trip and alleged marriage unfolds, authorities and concerned parties in both India and Pakistan are closely monitoring the situation to ensure transparency and compliance with the law.
