Tripura's Industries Department signed a Memorandum of Agreement (MoA) with Tata Technologies Limited(TTL) in presence of Chief Minister Dr Manik Saha on Wednesday set to embark on a transformative journey to upgrade 19Government Industrial Training Institutes
The programme designed to align with industry 4.0 standards and the evolving global technology landscape aims to establish these ITIs as state-of-the-art centres of excellence.
TTL will lead the ITI transformation by integrating cutting-edge equipment like CNC machines AR/VR tools industrial automation systems and electric vehicle diagnostic kits. Certificates will be co-issued by the Government and TTL along with its partner industries offering students a competitive edge in the
The collaboration also fosters the establishment of specialized facilities like the Product Design and Development Centre, the Electric Vehicle Training Centre and the Advanced Machining and Manufacturing Centre equipped with tools like 3D printers and robotic simulations.

He said the initiative will contribute to sustainable economic development by creating a skilled workforce and attracting industrial investments to Tripura. Strengthened placement support will connect students with potential employers, ensuring smoother transitions from training to the workforce.
The project will cost 683.278 Cr with an 86:14 funding ratio between TTL and the Government of Tripura. The state government will invest Rs. 109.06 Cr to build advanced centres spanning 13,500 sqft accommodating state-of-the-art equipment he said.
