"Transgenders stage protest in front of Vidhan Bhavan"

Nagpur: The Transgender Rights Committee (TRC) on Tuesday staged a protest in front of the Vidan Bhavan demanding the rights of reservation. Under the banner of TRC the transgender demanded that the findings of the NALSA report 2014 and Transgender right protection bill 2019 should be implemented with immediate effect and a quota of transgender should be formed in all government jobs and other institutions.

The TRC demanded the implementation of the Chhattisgarh model in which the administration had reserved 1% of seats in the public sector posts. According to the TRC, in the past, it had already submitted a memorandum of their demands to the Chief Minister in Mumbai. A memorandum was also submitted to Assembly Speaker.
