Representative ImageNEW DELHI: An assistant sub-inspector (ASI) was injured on Thursday after an SUV hit him during a vehicle compliance check related to GRAP-4 guidelines in Delhi.
During a traffic check for the enforcement of GRAP IV guidelines at a picket on Agra Canal Road in Meethapur Traffic ASI Devendra was struck by an SUV. The offending vehicle was being driven in a rash and negligent manner. The deployed staff signalled and tried to stop the vehicle but the driver did not stop
ASI Devendra was quickly taken to the hospital for medical care and is now stable and receiving treatment for his injuries.
Authorities have identified the ownership of the vehicle involved and a case has been filed in connection with the incident.
