Sunny Wayne and Lukman recently teamed up for the film Turkish Tharkkam and the movie has stepped into controversy for allegedly hurting religious sentiments.

According to On Manorama ‘Turkish Tharkkam’ has been withdrawn from theatres across Kerala. The makers reportedly claimed that some individuals with ‘vested interests’ were trying to pass out false

The film originally hit the big screens on November 22 and the plot revolves around a dead body buried in a Turkish mosque and the conflict surrounding it. The makers have reportedly stated that ‘Turkish Tharkkam’ is not meant to hurt

The makers said that some people are trying to mislead the audiences regarding the content of the movie and spreading lies about it.

Meanwhile the politician VT Balram has come forward with a stance against the makers of the movie. In a detailed social media post Balram shared his doubts on whether the makers are purposefully trying to create a controversy so that the movie will get much attention

Written and directed by Nawaz Sulaiman Turkish Tharkkam features Sunny Wayne Lukman Avaran Harisree Ashokan Jayan Cherthala Jolly Chirayath Dayyana Hameed and many others in pivotal roles.
