Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman will present the interim budget for 2024-25 on February 1st, the last budget by the current BJP government before the general elections in April-May 2024. The budget is expected to have a strong focus on rural India, farmers, youth, and the middle class. 

In the past decade of BJP rule, India's economy has undergone positive transformation, with GDP more than doubling from $1.7 trillion in 2013-14 to $3.3 trillion in 2022-23. However, concerns remain around job creation and unemployment. 

As Sitharaman prepares to deliver the final budget before elections, measures aimed at rural India such as agriculture stimulus, rural infrastructure boosts, and social welfare schemes are likely to take center stage. Increased allocations to support farmers and strengthen food security are also anticipated.
