Several civil right bodies and Hindu organisations have been protesting since Tuesday in front of Assistant High Commission office in Agartala demanding unconditional release of ISKCON leader and stop atrocities on Hindus.
Hundreds of Hindu saints held a protest rally in the city to press for their demands and assurance of security of minorities in Bangladesh. A group of civil society leaders called on Assistant High Commissioner of Bangladesh here and submitted a memorandum on the same demands while threatened
Meanwhile Tripura Chief Minister Dr Manik Saha on Wednesday condemned the ongoing atrocities against Hindu minorities and Hindu leaders in Bangladesh.

The ongoing attacks on Sanatani minorities, various religious institutions & Sanatani Gurus in Bangladesh are entirely undemocratic & an affront to basic human rights principles. I strongly condemn such incidents completely based on narrow and vested interests where Sanatani sentiments and human rights are violated
