Charlotte Hornets star LaMelo Ball has been fined a whopping $100,000 following his anti-gay comment after his team's 115-114 victory over the Milwaukee Bucks.
The NBA released a statement calling his remark an “offensive and derogatory comment.” The league fined the Hornets’ star
Later,Hornets head coach Charles Lee responded to the huge penalty. “As an organization, this is obviously not something we condone,” Lee said.
The coach continued: “From what I’ve seen since I’ve been around him he loves everyone. He’s a joy to have around in the facility and that’s not typically how he operates.”
The incident has gained a lot of attention putting Ball into a huge controversy. Lee further stated confirming that Ball will not repeat the same in the future.
