Last -Minute Timetable Sparks Stress among RTMNU students

India / Nagpur :

Nagpur: Amidst the ongoing winter session exams at RTMNU, Nagpur University, students find themselves grappling with added stress due to the last minute release of the first year timetable, just 10 days before the exams. While the university exams are typically a topic of debate, the current controversy centers around the contentious issue of 'employment in menial jobs. Semester exams proceed smoothly, but concerns arise over the master's exam schedule. However, the timing of the master's exam schedule has raised eyebrows, with the timetable released only two days before the exams commence on January 16. This abrupt schedule has heightened tension among students, demanding adequate preparation time.

The first-year exams, covering old anthropology subjects CBCS and NEP, are scheduled from January 16 to 27. Simultaneously, the MA in Mass Communication (CBCS) examination is set to commence on January 16. Adding to the chaos, there is confusion within the examination department regarding whether the timetable aligns with the National Education Policy (NEP). Students are advocating for a 25-day notice period for the timetable release. Talking about this, Senate member Rahul Hanwate  expressed disapproval of the university's impractical decision to conduct exams within a 1o-day timeframe. Because of this, students will surely face problems.

Hanwate stressed the importance of the university planning in a proper manner.
