While Sindhu beat Busanan Ongbamrungphan of Thailand 21-17, 21-19 Malvika defeated Line Hojmakr Kjaersfeldt of Denmark 20-23 23-21 21-16 Satwik-Chirag defeated Lee Jhe-Huei and Yang Po-Hsu

Treesa-Gayatri pair eased past Chinese Taipei combo Hu Ling Fang and Jhen Yu Chieh 21-16, 21-14 to improve their chances of qualifying for the next month's year-end BWF Tour Finals

Despite beating Lee on Wednesday Lakshya admitted that the Olympic loss will still rankle him. In the bronze-medal match at theOlympics Lakshya won the first game and was leading 8-3 in the second before losing the momentum.

It still hurts a little. I feel it's still going to hurt for some time," Lakshya said after his victory.
