MADIKERI: Kushalnagar rural police have arrested two individuals accused of breaking into a house and stealing gold jewelry.
The accused have been identified as SK Someshekhar (24), a resident of Hakke village and N Abhishek (24) from Machagoudanahalli Holenarasipur.
A complaint was filed on November 3 reporting the theft of approximately 219 grams of gold ornaments from a locker at the residence of Devaraj in Hakke while the family was away visiting relatives for the Diwali festival.
Police arrested the suspects and recovered 168 grams of gold jewelry along with Rs 2.5 lakh in cash and the two-wheeler used in the crime.
