Karnataka Lokayukta conducts multiple raids in state

The Karnataka Lokayukta, the state's anti-corruption agency conducted raids across multiple locations in Karnataka on Thursday.

The raids targeted officials in Kolar Bengaluru City and Mandya districts in connection with four ongoing cases.

Over 25 locations were searched and records examined by Lokayukta officials. Among those targeted were Krishnaveni MC a Senior Geologist in the Department of Mines and Geology in Chikkaballapur and Mahesh Managing Director of Kaveri Neeravai Nigama

In Bengaluru City the raids focused on NK Thippe Swamy Director of Town and Country Planning and Mohan K Excise Superintendent.

This is not the first time the Karnataka Lokayukta has undertaken such actions. In July a similar series of raids targeted 12 state officials across six districts.

> corruption, maladministration and other grievances related to public servants.
