Sharing a screenshot of a news article, Ranaut highlighted an important historical event wherein Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose formed a government of Azad Hind (Free India) in Singapore on October 21, 1943. Bose declared himself as the Prime Minister, the Head of State, and the Minister of War during World War II.
Ranaut's assertion stirred controversy during a recent television interview where she questioned the role of Jawaharlal Nehru as India's first Prime Minister. Despite facing criticism for her remarks, Ranaut remains firm in her stance.
