New Delhi: The Madhya Pradesh government has appointed Kailash Makwana a 1988 batch IPS officer as the new Director General of Police for the state.
A notification issued late on Saturday announced that Makwana will succeed the current DGP Sudhir Saxena who is set to retire on November 30.
Makwana who currently serves as chairman of the MP Police Housing Corporation will assume his new role as DGP on December 1.
Saxena a 1987 batch IPS officer had taken over as DGP of Madhya Pradesh in March 2022.
