For the first time in the history a davit IAS officer from Konaseemadistrict in undivided East Godavari district has been appointed as the Controller of Auditor General of India.
He had assumed charge from Himachal Pradesh cadre and he is performing his duties as secretary for higher education in the Central Cabinet. He completed Mechanical Engineering and was selected in Civil Services under Himachal Pradesh between 2002 and 2007. He worked in forest, environment and IT ministry between 2002 and 2007 and also worked in National Institute for Smart Governance for three years. He is performing duties as secretary in Higher Education at the Centre from October 2021.
