India / New Delhi :
The Interim Budget presented by Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman today focuses on boosting infrastructure spending and digitalization to drive economic growth.
With the economy recovering from COVID-19 impact, the government aims to continue powering growth through increased capital-expenditure" target="_blank">capital expenditure, especially on roads, railways, ports, airports, and urban infrastructure.
The budget also gives a push towards making India a global digital economy hub, building on the success of digital payment systems like UPI. Key digital economy initiatives include expanding broadband connectivity, 5G rollout, and digital skilling programs.
Experts say the infrastructure and digital push will boost job creation, especially for the youth. However, execution of projects remains a challenge. The budget aims for efficient project delivery through public-private partnerships.
