The Crime Branch of Indore Police on Friday arrested ahabitual offender involved in inillegal drug trafficking and seized contraband worth 4.5 lakh along with a loaded firearm
Additional DCP Rajesh Dandotiya said that the accused was apprehended with 45 grams of brown sugar worth 4.5 lakh. A country-made pistol with live rounds and a motorcycle used in illegal activities were also seized.
The Crime Branch team was conducting surveillance at various locations in the city. During their patrol they spotted a suspicious individual speeding on a motorcycle near a petrol pump. After a brief chase the police intercepted him near Gutkeshwar Mahadev Temple.
Dandotiya further mentioned that Samir is a habitual offender with a history of 10 serious crimes registered against him at various police stations in Indore including Sanjay Nagar MG Road Bhanwarkuan Azad Nagar
The Crime Branch has initiated further legal action against the accused and is investigating his connections with others involved in similar criminal activities. Efforts are also underway to identify and apprehend his accomplices
