Nagpur: This year, gold has reached a psychological threshold of $62,000 in Nagpur even before Diwali. There is a possibility that gold may touch 765,0000 till Diwali. In October, gold prices shot up by 4,900 in just 24 days to reach 61,900 on October 28 and while that of silver by $5,200 per kg to reach $73,600. Following the price hike, customers have started purchasing gold in a large number.

Prices incerasing daily after Oct 23: On October 5, gold was priced at $57,000 and silver at 768,400 per kg. Then on October 10, gold price reached $58,000 and that of silver 69,600. Similarly on October 20, gold reached 61,200 and silver $74,100.

Till October 23, the prices were stable that is gold at 61,100 and silver at 73,300 per kgAfter that, the price is increasing every day.

Gold touched 61,400 on October 26, 61,700 on October 27, 61,900 on October 28.A customer had to pay $63,757 to buy 10 gram of pure (95.5 per cent purity) gold on Saturday after shelling out 3 per cent GST. Apart from thisthe customer has to pay another 12 to 18 percent of the work manship cost separately for jewellery.
