After the match captain Suryakumar Yadav Suryakumar Yadav congratulated the team in his dressing room speech.

Everyone knows how challenging it is to win a series overseas. Last time when we came here it ended 1-1. But this time even after leading 2-1 we decided how we want to play this match and I feel everyone stepped up. So credit goes to everyone.

Surya thanked three players who didn't get to play in the series.

Most importantly thank you (Vijaykumar) Vyshak, Jitesh (Sharma) and Yash (Dayal) for all the support. And obviously each and every member of the support staff as well because it's not easy. They supported in what brand of cricketwe wanted to play; we spoke about it as soon as we landed

It's a special win. I'm sure everyone is happy but at the same time we take a lot of learnings, go back, reflect and obviously all the best to everyone who turns up for the domestic games. Mai bhi ja hi raha hu (I'll also go and play).

Coming back to the match Varma's spectacular 120 not out came off 47 deliveries featuring 10 sixes and 9 fours. This was his second hundred in succession making him the fifth batsman to achieve consecutive T20I centuries.

Opening batter Samson struck an unbeaten 109 from 56 balls with 6 fours and 9 sixes. He had also scored a ton in the first match of the series. His opening partner Abhishek Sharma contributed 36 from 18 balls with 4 sixes helping India hit 23 sixes in total.

It was the first time that two batsmen from Full Member nations scored centuries in the same T20I match.

The unbroken second-wicket partnership between Varma and Samson yielded 210 runs.

South Africa's chase could only reach 148 in 18.2 overs with Tristan Stubbs (43), David Miller (36) and Marco Jansen (29) providing some resistance after the fall of early wickets.

Captain Surya utilised six bowlers with Arshdeep Singh taking 3 for 20. Varun Chakravarthy and Axar Patel claimed two wickets each while Hardik Pandya Ramandeep Singh and Ravi Bishnoi took one wicket apiece.
