The Directorate of Enforcement (ED) has issued an eighth summons to Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal in a money laundering probe related to irregularities in the Delhi Excise Policy 2021-22 case. Kejriwal has so far skipped seven previous summons issued by the ED, calling them "illegal and politically motivated."

The Delhi Excise Policy 2021-22 aimed to revitalize the city's liquor business and introduce discounts and offers for the first time. Lieutenant Governor Vinai Kumar Saxena's order to probe alleged irregularities prompted the scrapping of the policy. Two senior AAP leaders, Manish Sisodia and Sanjay Singh, are already under judicial custody in the case.
