The Delhi police have achieved a breakthrough in recovering the stolen car belonging to Mallika Nadda, the wife of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) National President JP Nadda, from Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh. The Fortuner SUV, reported stolen from Delhi's Govindpuri area on March 19, has been successfully located, and two individuals have been apprehended in connection with the theft.
The incident occurred when the SUV's driver had momentarily left the vehicle unattended to have lunch at his residence in Govindpuri after it was serviced. Upon returning, he discovered the vehicle missing and promptly reported the theft to the police, who immediately initiated an investigation.
CCTV footage indicated that the stolen SUV was last seen heading towards Gurugram and bore a Himachal Pradesh number plate. However, further developments led the police to trace the vehicle to Varanasi, where it was recovered.
In a significant development, two suspects have been arrested in connection with the theft. During interrogation, the accused individuals confessed to stealing the SUV as per demand and revealed their intention to transport it to Nagaland.
The successful recovery of the stolen car underscores the diligent efforts of the Delhi police in combating vehicle theft and ensuring the safety and security of citizens' property.
