Decision on Old Pension scheme likely in next session:CM Shinde

Nagpur: Maharashtra chief minister Eknath Shinde on
Wednesday said the decision on the vexed issue of old pension scheme was likely to be taken by next assembly session in March in Mumbai. Speaking to TOI, the CM said government had convened a meeting with the representatives of various union of employees demanding the old pension scheme on Wednesday evening.
The meeting took place on the premises of Vidhan Bhavan in presence of deputy chief ministers Devendra Fadnavis and Ajit Pawar. Senior officials from various departments were present.
"The meeting was positive. We have received a report from the oir committee constituted to study the demands of unions in this regard. We have told our chief secretary and other officials to study the report and submit their recommendations to us," Shinde said. The CM said the there will be second round of talks with the unions after receiving the recommendations from the chief secretary.
