He highlighted the challenges faced by contract nurses, including job insecurity and uncertainty, and demanded that they be granted permanent positions with full job security and benefits.
In addition to the demand for permanent status, the APNSC presented a list of other crucial demands aimed at improving the working conditions and welfare of nurses in government hospitals:

- Maternity Leave for Male Nurses: Recognizing the need for gender equality in benefits, the committee advocated for maternity leave benefits to be extended to male nurses as well.
- Staffing in Primary Health Centers (PHCs): The APNSC urged the deployment of four staff nurses in each primary health center (PHC) to ensure efficient and effective healthcare delivery at the grassroots level.
- Establishment of Nursing Directorate: The committee proposed the establishment of a dedicated nursing directorate to oversee nursing-related matters and ensure proper management and coordination.
- Provident Fund (PF) Benefits: Nurses demanded the provision of provident fund (PF) benefits to secure their financial future.
- Enhanced Security Measures: To address safety concerns, the APNSC called for the appointment of night watchmen in PHCs to enhance security for nurses and other healthcare workers.
The APNSC urged the government to promptly address their demands to foster a conducive work environment and ensure a well-functioning healthcare system with a stable and motivated nursing workforce.
