Mongol MundaRANCHI: Mongol Munda the eldest son of Sukhram Munda and a descendant of tribal freedom fighter Bhagwan Birsa Munda Birsa Munda succumbed to injuries at Rajendra Institute of Medical Science

The incident occurred when Mongol was travelling from Khunti to Tamar on the roof of a passenger vehicle with a friend when the vehicle overturned near Rutadih turn in the Saiko police station area causing both passengers to fall.

Hemant Soren visited RIMS multiple times to monitor Mongol's condition. On Wednesday accompanied by MLA Kalpana Soren the chief minister met with the medical team including Acting Director Dr Sheetal Malua Head of Neuro Surgery Dr Anand Kumar

The medical team informed the chief minister that Mongol's condition was critical and he was on ventilator support following surgery. Despite the medical intervention and attention from the state's highest authorities Mongol could not survive his injuries.

The CM issued instructions for proper care and also to expedite shifting him to a higher medical centre if required but given his critical condition doctors couldn't decide to shift him.
